Issue Description
- Before cutover, a customer logs in to an NE40E-X8 using SSH. A default password can be used to increase the level of user login permissions.
- After the NE40E-X8 is upgraded, the customer cannot use the default password to increase the level of user login permissions.
Alarm Information
When the command for using a default password is run, an error message is displayed.
Handling Process
Before the cutover, the software version of the NE40E-X8 is ne40e80ev6r1c00spc800.
After the cutover, the software version of the NE40E-X8 is changed from ne40e80ev6r1c00spc800 to V600R007C00SPC300. The target version does not support the command for specifying a default password.
Therefore, although the configuration file contains the command for specifying a default password in V600R007C00SPC300, this target version does not support this command.
Root Cause
V600R007C00SPC300 does not support the command for specifying a default password.
Solution
- Delete the command for specifying a default password.
- During account creation, assign permissions of the related level to users.
