Description

TNG1M402 overview

TNG1M402 2 x 100Gbit/s Service Multiplexing Into 1 x 200G/100G Programable Wavelength Conversion Board , extended to 800G applied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 M05/M12/M24.

The new generation of “M” series subracks have the characteristics of ultra-large capacity, optoelectronic integration, and compact size. They are suitable for comprehensive carrying application scenarios such as broadband video, mobile backhaul, government and enterprise dedicated lines, and DCI interconnection, providing end-to-end optimal transmission solutions from backbone, aggregation to access. The M24 subrack supports two cross-connection modes, 1:1 and 1:3, which differ in the number of cross-connection board configurations, the number of available service board slots, cross-connection capacity, and application scenarios.

The TNG1M402 board has only one variant: TNG1M402C01.

  • When 100GE/40GE services are received on the client side, client 1+1 protection supports bidirectional switching rather than unidirectional switching. When OTU4 services are received on the client side, client 1+1 protection supports unidirectional switching.
ODUk SNCP Supported
NOTE:
The ODUk SNCP protection group cannot be configured on different channels of the line-side port of the board. When cross-connections are created between the port and the line side of this board and between the port and the line side of other boards, the port does not support the SNCP protection and port inloop loopback at the same time. ODUk SNCP protection and encryption function cannot be configured on a port at the same time.
Tributary SNCP Supported
NOTE:
The client-side and line-side ports of a tributary SNCP protection group cannot be configured on the same M402 board. When cross-connections are created between the port and the line side of this board and between the port and the line side of other boards, the port does not support the SNCP protection and port inloop loopback at the same time.
Electrical-layer ASON Not supported
Optical-layer ASON Supported
NOTE:
In versions earlier than V100R007C00SPC500, ASON is not supported in high SOP mode. In V100R007C00SPC500 and later versions, only ASON without optical parameters is supported in high SOP mode.
L1 service encryption Supports the bidirectional service encryption when the client-side service is Ethernet service.
NOTE:
After the encryption function is configured, the WDM-side rate of the board cannot be switched, but the modulation formats of the same rate can be switched. ODUk SNCP protection and encryption function cannot be configured on a port at the same time.
ALS Supports the ALS function on the client side when client services are non-OTN services.
LLDP When the client-side service type is Ethernet service, the board supports the LLDP function.
NOTE:
When the service mapping mode is MAC transparent mapping, the LLDP mode of the port is the Receive mode by default. In this case, LLDP packets are not transparently transmitted.
Physical clock
  • On the tributary side:
  • Synchronous Ethernet transparent transmission is supported when the service is 100GE (MAC transparent mapping).
  • Synchronous Ethernet processing is supported in MAC transparent mapping mode when the service is 100GE (Bit transparent mapping ODU4).
  • On the line side: supported
IEEE 1588v2 When the board receives 100GE (MAC transparent mapping)/10GE LAN(MAC transparent mapping(10.7G)) on its client side, the board can support IEEE 1588v2.
ITU-T G.8275.1 When the board receives 100GE/10GE LAN services and the port mapping is MAC Transparent Mapping on its client side, the board can support IEEE 1588v2.
ITU-T G.8273.2 Supported
Outband DCN Supports communication over ESCs.
Test frame Supports the test frame function when the board receives 100GE/40GE/10GE LAN(MAC transparent mapping(10.7G)) services on its client side.
PRBS
  • Supports the PRBS test function in the optical port direction and backplane direction when OTU4 services are received on the tributary side.
  • Supports the PRBS test function in the backplane direction when other services are received on the tributary side.
  • Supports the PRBS test function on the line side.
NOTE:
The PRBS test function in the backplane direction is not supported when 10GE LAN services are accessed.
Latency measurement
  • On the client side:
    • When non-OTN services are received on the client side of the board, the PM section latency measurement is supported in the backplane direction (upstream direction).
    • When OTN services are received on the client side of the board, the TCM section latency measurement is supported in the optical port direction (downstream direction).
  • On the WDM side:
    • The board supports latency measurement in the optical port direction (upstream direction).
    • When higher-order ODU4 cross-connections are created on the board, TCM section latency measurement is supported for higher-order ODU4 channels. When lower-order ODUk cross-connections are created on the board, PM/TCM section latency measurement is supported for higher-order ODU4 channels, and TCM section latency measurement is supported for lower-order ODUk channels.
    • The board supports PM and TCM latency measurement at the ODUC2 layer.
NOTE:
In a mapping path, the maximum granularity ODUk channel is the higher-order ODU channel, and other ODUk channels are lower-order ODUk channels.
Channel loopback
  • 100G line: supports ODU0/ODU1/ODU2/ODU3/ODUflex channel inloop and outloop.
  • 200G line: supports ODU0/ODU1/ODU2/ODU3/ODU4/ODUflex channel inloop and outloop.
NOTE:
The board does not support the channel loopback and ODUk loopback at the same time. When a client-side port accesses 4 x 10GE signals, only channel loopback is supported.
Port loopback
  • Supports inloops and outloops on the WDM side.
  • Supports inloops and outloops on the client side.
  • Supports ODUk inloops and ODUk outloops on the client side.
NOTE:
Client-side loopback is not supported when the port accesses 4 x 10GE LAN signals. When cross-connections are created between the port and the line side of this board and between the port and the line side of other boards, the port does not support the SNCP protection and port inloop loopback at the same time.
Alarm and performance event monitoring
  • Supports the monitoring of BIP8 bytes (Bursty mode) to help locate line failures.
  • Supports the monitoring of OTN alarms and performance events.
  • Supports the remote monitoring (RMON) of Ethernet services.
  • Supports the monitoring of CD and PMD performance.
  • Supports the monitoring of the bias current of the laser.
  • Supports the monitoring of the temperature of the laser.
  • Supports the monitoring of the optical power.
