  • When a TNG1M520SM board replaces a TNG1M520S board, the TNG1M520SM01 board does not support intra-board 1+1 protection bidirectional switching. When a TNG1M520S board has been configured with bidirectional switching and a TNG1M520SM01 board is used for replacement, the HARD_NONSUPPORT alarm is reported during the replacement, and only the unidirectional switching capability is ensured.
TNG1M520SM TNG1M520S Version substitution

Channel loopback When a client-side port accesses 4 x 10GE signals, channel loopback is supported.
Port loopback

OSUflex SNCP Supported

NOTE:

  • The OSUflex SNCP protection group cannot be configured on different channels of the line-side port of the board.
  • OSUflex SNCP and tributary SNCP cannot be configured for the same service at the same time.
  • When cross-connections are created between the port and the line side of this board and between the port and the line side of other boards, the port does not support the SNCP protection and port inloop loopback at the same time.
  • OSUflex SNCP protection and encryption function cannot be configured on a port at the same time.
  • In line mode, the board supports a maximum of 512 OSUflex SNCP protection groups.
Tributary SNCP Supported

NOTE:

ODUk SNCP and tributary SNCP cannot be configured for the same service at the same time.

When cross-connections are created between the port and the line side of this board and between the port and the line side of other boards, the port does not support the SNCP protection and port inloop loopback at the same time.

Optical-layer ASON Supported

NOTE:

Optical-layer ASON is not supported when the TX1/RX1 port works in line mode.

Electrical-layer ASON Supported

NOTE:

This function is supported only when the board works in tributary or line mode.

L1 service encryption Supports setting the encryption function by port.

NOTE:

  • When working in ODU1 convergence mode or the OTU4 service is accessed, the board does not support encryption.
  • The client-side ports do not support broadcast cross-connection and encryption function at the same time.
  • After the encryption function is configured, the WDM-side rate of the board cannot be switched, but the modulation formats of the same rate can be switched.
ALS Supports the ALS function on the client side when client services are non-OTN services.

NOTE:

The port equipped with an electrical module does not support ALS.
LLDP When the client-side service type is ethernet service, the board supports the LLDP function.

NOTE:

The LLDP function is not supported when the client-side service is GE.

When the service mapping mode is MAC transparent mapping, the LLDP mode of the port is the Receive mode by default. In this case, LLDP packets are not transparently transmitted.

Physical clock
  • Supports synchronous Ethernet transparent transmission instead of synchronous Ethernet processing when receiving 100GE(Bit Transparent Mapping)/50GE (BMP)/40GE (TTT+GMP)/25GE (BMP)/10GE LAN(Bit Transparent Mapping(11.1G))/GE (TTT+GMP) services on the client side.
  • Supports synchronous Ethernet processing instead of synchronous Ethernet transparent transmission when receiving 100GE(MAC transparent mapping)/50GE (GFP-F)/25GE (GFP-F)/10GE LAN(MAC transparent mapping(10.7G))/GE (GFP-T) services on the client side.

NOTE:

Synchronous Ethernet transparent transmission is not supported when 10GE LAN (IMP+BMP) services are received.

Supported only when the client-side service type is 100GE(GFP-F)/50GE(GFP-F)/25GE(GFP-F)/10GE LAN(GFP-F)/GE(GFP-T).

  • When a client-side port accesses 4 x 10GE signals, only channel loopback is supported.
  • When cross-connections are set up between the client-side port and the line side of the board only, channel loopback is not supported.
Port loopback
  • Supports inloops and outloops on the WDM side.
  • Supports inloops and outloops on the client side.
  • Supports ODUk inloops and ODUk outloops on the client side.

NOTE:

  • when cross-connections are created between the port and the line side of this board and between the port and the line side of other boards, the port does not support the SNCP protection and port inloop loopback at the same time.
  • Client-side loopback is not supported when the port accesses 4 x 10GE LAN signals.
  • When the board functions as an OTU board, the line-side rate is 100 Gbit/s, and the client-side accesses 100GE/OTU4 services, WDM-side loopback is not supported.
  • When no cross-connection is configured on a client-side port, inloops cannot be configured on the client-side port.
