TNG1N210 overview

Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 TNG1N210 10*10 Gbit/s Line Service Processing Board

As an OTN line board, the N210 board converts 80 ODU0, 40 ODU1, 10 ODU2, or 80 ODUflex signals into 10 OTU2 signals carried over 10 ITU-T G.694.1 compliant DWDM wavelengths (vice versa), or converts 10 ODU2e signals into 10 OTU2e signals carried over 10 ITU-T G.694.1 compliant DWDM wavelengths (vice versa). Each port on the board supports a mix of ODU0, ODU1, and ODUflex signals.

The line boards at two add/drop sites must have the same ODU Timeslot Configuration Mode.

Backplane capacity The total backplane bandwidth is 100 Gbit/s.
WDM specification Supports the DWDM specifications.
Tunable wavelength Supports tunable wavelength optical modules that provide for 80 wavelengths tunable in the C band with 50 GHz channel spacing.
FEC coding FEC, AFEC-2
Line modulation format NRZ
OTN overhead protocol Supports the OTN frame format and overhead processing defined by ITU-T G.709.
OTN overhead
  • WDM-side OTU2 layer: supports SM overhead processing.
  • ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, flex) layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing.
  • ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, flex) layer: supports non-intrusive monitoring of PM and TCM overheads.
Intra-board 1+1 protection Supported

NOTE:

Supports intra-board 1+1 protection when working with optical protection boards.

ODUk SNCP Supported
Tributary SNCP Supported
Electrical-layer ASON Supported
Optical-layer ASON Supported
Physical clock Supported
IEEE 1588v2 Not supported
Outband DCN Supports communication over ESCs.
Test frame Not supported
PRBS Supports the PRBS function on the WDM side.
Delay measurement The board supports latency measurement in the WDM-side optical port direction (upstream direction). When higher-order ODUk cross-connections are created on the line board, TCM section latency measurement is supported for higher-order ODUk channels. When lower-order ODUk cross-connections are created on the line board, PM/TCM section latency measurement is supported for higher-order ODUk channels, and TCM section latency measurement is supported for lower-order ODUk channels.
Channel loopback ODUk (k=0, 1, flex) channel loopbacks
Port loopback Supports WDM Side Loopback
Alarm and performance event monitoring
  • Supports the monitoring of BIP8 bytes (Bursty mode) to help locate line faults.
  • Supports the monitoring of the laser bias current.
  • Supports the laser temperature monitoring.
  • Supports the optical power monitoring.
  • Supports the monitoring of OTN alarms and performance events.
