TNG2PD1 overview


TNG2PD1 32 x E1/T1 processing board applied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 U64/U32/M24.

To meet ultra-large cross-connect capacity and bandwidth requirements, Huawei presents the OptiX OSN 9800 product series. The OptiX OSN 9800 product series include the OptiX OSN 9800 U64, U32, P18 and universal platform subracks. Applied at the electrical layer, the OptiX OSN 9800 U64 and U32 subracks share boards by using unified software and hardware platforms, and can work with the OptiX OSN 9800 universal platform subrack and P18 subrack, OptiX OSN 8800 platform subrack and T16 subrack, and OptiX OSN 6800 optical subracks in WDM and OTN systems.

The TNG2PD1 board has only one variant, that is TNG2PD1.

  • Working with the DMS, receives/transmits and processes 32 x E1/T1 electrical signals.
  • Working with the OMS, receives/transmits and processes 8 x 2 Mbit/s optical signals.
  • Working with the DMSE, receives/transmits and processes 32 x E1 electrical signals.
Overhead processing Processes path overheads (such as J2 and V5 bytes) at the VC-12 level.
Port specifications The front panel of the PD1 board has no port. It must work with the DMS/OMS interface board to process 32 x 75-ohm/120-ohm E1 or 32 x 100-ohm T1 and 8 x 2M optical signals.
Port specifications Gray optical ports: I-64, I-64.1, S-64.2b, P1L1-2D2, S-1.1, L-1.1, L-1.2, S-4.1, L-4.1, and L-4.2.

Colored optical ports: CWDM (STM-//, // km) and DWDM (STM-//, // km).

Electrical ports: electrical module (STM-//).

  • Two PD1 boards provide TPS protection when working with a DMS/DMSE.
  • Two PD1 boards provide OTPS protection when working with a OMS.
