TNV3T220 10 Gbit/s Tributary Service Processing Board applied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 U64/U32/M24.

To meet ultra-large cross-connect capacity and bandwidth requirements, Huawei presents the OptiX OSN 9800 product series. The OptiX OSN 9800 product series include the OptiX OSN 9800 U64, U32, P18 and universal platform subracks. Applied at the electrical layer, the OptiX OSN 9800 U64 and U32 subracks share boards by using unified software and hardware platforms, and can work with the OptiX OSN 9800 universal platform subrack and P18 subrack, OptiX OSN 8800 platform subrack and T16 subrack, and OptiX OSN 6800 optical subracks in WDM and OTN systems.

The TNV3T220 board has only one variant: TNV3T220S01.

Service mapping mode
  • Supports encapsulating GE services into GE (TTT-GMP) or GE (GFP-T) services.
  • Supports encapsulating 10GE LAN services into bit transparent mapping (11.1G) or MAC transparent mapping (10.7G) services.
FEC coding Supports ITU-T G.709-compliant forward error correction (FEC) on the client side when the client-side service type is OTU1 or OTU2(e).
OTN overhead
  • ODUflex layer: supports PM overhead processing.
  • ODU0/ODU1/ODU2 layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing, and non-intrusive monitoring of PM and TCM overheads.

NOTE:

Supports the OTN frame format and overhead processing defined by ITU-T G.709. The mapping process complies with ITU-T G.7041, ITU-T G.709 and G.Sup43.
Maximum frame length for a port 1518 to 9600 Bytes, supports a jumbo frame with a maximum length of 9600 bytes.
LPT Supported on the client side when FE/GE/10GE LAN services are received.

NOTE:

The port equipped with an electrical module does not support LPT.

PRBS Supported

NOTE:

  • A maximum of three ports on a TNV3T220 board support PRBS testing.
  • When working in ODU1_ODU0 mode, the board does not support the PRBS test function in the backplane direction.
  • The PRBS function in the optical port direction is supported only when the client-side service type is STM-1, OC–3, STM-4, OC-12, STM-16, OC-48, OTU1, STM-64, OC-192, OTU2 or OTU2e.
Latency measurement
  • When non-OTN services are received on the client side of the board, the PM section latency measurement is supported in the backplane direction (upstream direction).
  • When OTN services are received on the client side of the board, the TCM section latency measurement is supported in the optical port direction (downstream direction).
Channel loopback Supports inloops and outloops on channels.

NOTE:

ODU0 channel loopbacks are supported only when the port working mode is the ODU1_ODU0 mode (OTU1->ODU1->ODU0).
Port loopback
  • Supports inloops and outloops on the client side.
  • Supports ODUk inloops and ODUk outloops on the client side.

NOTE:

  • When the board works in ODU1 convergence mode, you must configure intra-board cross-connections before loopbacks. Otherwise, the loopbacks become abnormal.
  • The board supports ODUk inloop and ODUk outloop only when non-OTN services are received, the port working mode is non-convergence, and bidirectional cross-connections are configured.
  • When the service type is set to None, Inloop, Outloop, and ODUk Outloop are not supported.
  • When non-OTN services are received, the PRBS in the backplane direction can be used only with ODUk loopback.
Alarm and performance event monitoring
  • Monitors BIP8 bytes (Bursty mode) to help locate line failures.
  • Monitors B1 bytes to help locate faults.
  • Monitors OTN alarms and performance events.
  • Monitors parameters such as the bias current, temperature, and optical power of the laser.
  • Supports the remote monitoring (RMON) of Ethernet services.
