ISSUE DESCRIPTION
MA5800-X2 restarts suddenly within 14 days to 6 weeks.
The configuration commands and version (MA5800V100R020 and SPH320) of the MA5800-X2 are the same as those of the other 50 MA5800-X2s in the environment.
ISSUE ANALYSIS
1. Check the power supply of the device. The power supply board has not been replaced with the DC power supply board (H901PISA), but has been replaced with the AC power supply board (the H901PISB board is originally used).
When the unit restarts, there are two other DC units in the main distribution frame that do not have this problem (AC/DC rectifier and Carrier Ethernet unit). The current is stable and uninterrupted.
2. After collecting OLT logs and analyzing the logs, we find that:
According to the logs, the device restarts multiple times because the kernel breaks down. Therefore, it is determined that the DDR hardware is faulty.
ROOT CAUSE
The DDR hardware is faulty.
SOLUTION DESCRIPTION
After the customer replaces the board, the fault is rectified.
