To meet ultra-large cross-connect capacity and bandwidth requirements, Huawei presents the OptiX OSN 9800 product series. The OptiX OSN 9800 product series include the OptiX OSN 9800 U64, U32, P18 and universal platform subracks. Applied at the electrical layer, the OptiX OSN 9800 U64 and U32 subracks share boards by using unified software and hardware platforms, and can work with the OptiX OSN 9800 universal platform subrack and P18 subrack, OptiX OSN 8800 platform subrack and T16 subrack, and OptiX OSN 6800 optical subracks in WDM and OTN systems.

The TNG2ADC1624 board has only one variant: TNG2ADC1624.

Basic function
  • Implements optical-layer service grooming for multiple wavelengths, and support contentionless.
  • Wavelength adding: Adds 24 any coherent wavelength signals to any optical port among AM01 to AM24 and outputs them from any optical port among OUT1 to OUT16. The wavelength services that are added from the same AM optical port can be transmitted only to an any OUT optical port, and the same wavelength services cannot be added to the same OUT optical port.
  • Wavelength dropping: Receives at most 24 coherent wavelength signals from 16 line-side optical ports and grooms the received signals to any DM optical port for wavelength dropping. The optical signals of the same wavelength can be dropped from different DM optical ports, but one DM optical port can receive services of only one IN optical port.
WDM specification Supports the DWDM specifications.

  • Supports Super C-band wavelengths.
  • Supports flexible grid wavelength signals. The channel spacing is n x slice. (The minimum slice is 6.25 GHz. The value of n ranges from 6 to 64. That is, a single channel is adjustable within the range of 37.5 GHz to 400 GHz.)

NOTE:
The AM port should be connected to a coherent OTU board that supports the digital optical label function, and the board is configured with optical cross-connections in automatic mode or manual mode and manual attenuation. The AM port supports optical power detection only when the wavelength of the AM port matches the configured cross-connection wavelength.

Digital optical label The board can work with the OTU board that supports the digital optical label function to detect digital optical label overheads and optical power.
  • Supports detecting digital optical label overheads on ports OUT1 to OUT16. After the Optical Doctor (OD) function is configured, the board provides route visualization and trail verification functions.
  • Supports detecting digital optical label optical power and provides the single-wavelength optical power detection function on ports OUT1 to OUT16.
