TN51MCS0816 overview

TN51MCS0816 dual multicast switching board (extended C-band, 8D, 16 add/drop multiplexing paired ports) applied to OptiX OSN 8800.

The OptiX OSN 8800 Intelligent Optical Transport Platform (OptiX OSN 8800 for short) is a new generation of intelligent MS-OTN product. The OptiX OSN 8800 can interconnect with any product from the OptiX OSN product series, such as the OptiX OSN 1800, to form an end-to-end OTN network. The OptiX OSN 8800 T32/T16 supports unified switching and control based on ODUk, VC, and packets, achieving unified switching and transmission for multiple services on a single multi-service optical transport network (MS-OTN). The OptiX OSN 6800 Intelligent Optical Transport Platform (OptiX OSN 6800 for short) is referred to as Huawei next generation intelligent optical transport platform. The OptiX OSN 6800 is for area backbones, local networks, metropolitan convergence layers and metropolitan core layers. It may also work with other WDM, SDH/SONET equipment to offer a complete Metro WDM solution.

Basic function Implements optical-layer service grooming for multiple wavelengths, and support contentionless.Wavelength adding: Adds 16 any coherent wavelength signals to any optical port among AM1 to AM16 and outputs them from any optical port among OUT1 to OUT8. The wavelength services that are added from the same AM optical port can be transmitted only to an any OUT optical port, and the same wavelength services cannot be added to the same OUT optical port. Wavelength dropping: Receives at most 16 coherent wavelength signals from 8 line-side optical ports and grooms the received signals to any DM optical port for wavelength dropping. The optical signals of the same wavelength can be dropped from different DM optical ports, but one DM optical port can receive services of only one IN optical port.
NOTE:
Supports only coherent services.
WDM specification Supports the DWDM specification. Supports C-band and extended band wavelengths.
Gain lock function The EDFA inside the board has the gain lock function. Adding or dropping one or more channels or optical signal fluctuation does not affect the signal gain of other channels.
Online optical performance monitoring Provides an in-service monitoring port (MONO and MONI). This port connects to an optical spectrum analyzer or spectrum analyzer unit to monitor the spectrum and optical performance of the multiplexed signal without affecting traffic.
Alarm and performance event monitoring Detects the optical power and reports the alarms and performance events for the board.
Optical power adjustment Provides the function to adjust the optical power of any add wavelengths at the local station.
Port blocking Blocks all input wavelengths at one of the AM1 to AM16 optical interfaces.
Optical-layer ASON Supported
