The available hardware versions of the TTA board are TNF6 and TNF7.

TQX boards support optical transport network (OTN) ports and electric supervisory channels (ESCs).

The TNF7TTA board can be created as F6TTA on the NMS. The TNF7TTA can substitute for the TNF6TTA with the NE software version is V100R009C00 or later.

After substitution, the TNF7TTA can function only as the TNF6TTA.

Cross-connect functionality

The total bandwidth is 40 Gbit/s. It cross-connects 20 channels of ODU0 signals, 10 channels of ODU1/ODUflex signals or 4 channels of ODU2/ODU2e signals through the backplane bus and cross-connect board.

Delay measurement (DM) Supports DM. Specifically, the bidirectional delay between two tributary boards supporting DM can be measured, and the delay data is displayed on the NMS.

Alarms and performance events monitoring

  • Monitors bit interleaved parity 8 (BIP8) bytes (Bursty mode) to help locate line failures.
  • Monitors B1 bytes to help locate line failures.
  • Monitors OTN alarms and performance events.
  • Monitors parameters such as the bias current, operating temperature, and optical power of a laser.
  • Provides remote network monitoring (RMON) and performance measurement functions for Ethernet services.
  • Supports Ethernet bandwidth usage of the RMON performance statistics.

OTN Overheads

Mapping processing complies with ITU-T G.7041 and ITU-T G.709. The ITU-T G.709-compliant frame formats and overhead processing are adopted.

  • OTU1/OTU2 layer: supports SM overhead processing.
  • ODU0/ODU1/ODU2 layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing, and non-intrusive monitoring on PM and TCM overheads.
  • ODUflex layer: supports PM overhead processing, and non-intrusive monitoring on PM overheads.

Outband DCN

Supports ESC communication.

FEC Mode

Supports ITU-T G.709-compliant forward error correction (FEC) encoding on the client side only when receiving OTU2 or OTU2e signals.
