TNG2ERPC overview

 

TNG2ERPC Super C-band Enhanced Raman Processing Board to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 M05/M12/M24.

The new generation of “M” series subracks have the characteristics of ultra-large capacity, optoelectronic integration, and compact size. They are suitable for comprehensive carrying application scenarios such as broadband video, mobile backhaul, government and enterprise dedicated lines, and DCI interconnection, providing end-to-end optimal transmission solutions from backbone, aggregation to access. The M24 subrack supports two cross-connection modes, 1:1 and 1:3, which differ in the number of cross-connection board configurations, the number of available service board slots, cross-connection capacity, and application scenarios.

The TNG2ERPC board has only one variant: TNG2ERPC01.

Basic function
  • Amplifies super C-band input optical signals, covering wavelengths within the range of 1524.3 nm to 1572.5 nm.
  • Multiplexes or demultiplexes the service signal light, TNG2ERPC pump light, and ROP pump light together with the high-power pump light emitted by the TNG2ERPC board. The TNG2ERPC board can be used as either a forward pump board or a backward pump board.
  • Implements distributed online amplification of signals over long distance with wide bandwidth and low noise.
  • Supports the panel interlock function. The panel provides an interlock switch. The interlock switch is used to control the module power-on or power-off and the pluggable status of the board.
  • Supports the turn-off control on the switch of the pump source using the LAS SWITCH button on the panel.
WDM specification Supports the DWDM specifications.
Working mode Supports the pump power locking mode.
Safe turn-on of the Raman laser Not supported

Alarm and performance event monitoring
  • Detects the pump optical power and pump current.
  • Supports board temperature detection and reporting.

During the startup or use of a laser, if the detected reflection optical power is greater than 15 dBm, the laser will be automatically shut down.
