Description

TNG2M604SM overview

TNG2M604SM 4 x 100Gbit/s Service Multiplexing Into 1 x 400G/200G Programable Wavelength Conversion Board applied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 M05/M12/M24.

The new generation of “M” series subracks have the characteristics of ultra-large capacity, optoelectronic integration, and compact size. They are suitable for comprehensive carrying application scenarios such as broadband video, mobile backhaul, government and enterprise dedicated lines, and DCI interconnection, providing end-to-end optimal transmission solutions from backbone, aggregation to access. The M24 subrack supports two cross-connection modes, 1:1 and 1:3, which differ in the number of cross-connection board configurations, the number of available service board slots, cross-connection capacity, and application scenarios.

The TNG1M520SM board has two variants: TNG2M604SMT32 and TNG2M604SMT33.

NOTE:
  • When an MPO optical module is used on the client side, the M604SM board does not support client 1+1 protection.
  • When 100GE/40GE services are received on the client side, client 1+1 protection supports bidirectional switching rather than unidirectional switching. When OTU4 services are received on the client side, client 1+1 protection supports unidirectional switching.
ODUk SNCP Supported
NOTE:
  • The ODUk SNCP protection group cannot be configured on different channels of the line-side port of the board.
  • when cross-connections are created between the port and the line side of this board and between the port and the line side of other boards, the port does not support the SNCP protection and port inloop loopback at the same time.
  • ODUk SNCP protection and encryption function cannot be configured on a port at the same time.
Tributary SNCP Supported
NOTE:
when cross-connections are created between the port and the line side of this board and between the port and the line side of other boards, the port does not support the SNCP protection and port inloop loopback at the same time.
Electrical-layer ASON Not supported
Optical-layer ASON Supported
L1 service encryption When the client-side service type is 10GE/40GE/100GE, the board supports the bidirectional service encryption.
NOTE:
  • ODUk SNCP protection and encryption function cannot be configured on a port at the same time.
  • After the encryption function is configured, the WDM-side rate of the board cannot be switched, but the modulation formats of the same rate can be switched.
Digital optical label When LS Ability is enabled, the board supports loading low-frequency pilot-tone modulation signals and overheads during wavelength conversion, and can work the optical-layer board that supports the digital optical label function to detect optical power and overheads and report optical performance data.
ALS Supports the ALS function on the client side when client services are non-OTN services.
LLDP When the client-side service type is 10GE LAN/40GE/100GE, the board supports the LLDP function.
NOTE:
When the service mapping mode is MAC transparent mapping, the LLDP mode of the port is the Receive mode by default. In this case, LLDP packets are not transparently transmitted.
Physical clock
  • Supports synchronous Ethernet processing instead of synchronous Ethernet transparent transmission when receiving 100GE(MAC transparent mapping)/10GE LAN(MAC transparent mapping(10.7G)) services on the client side.
  • Supports synchronous Ethernet transparent transmission instead of synchronous Ethernet processing when receiving 100GE(Bit Transparent Mapping)/40GE(TTT+GMP) services on the client side.
NOTE:
The Bit Transparent Mapping (11.1G IMP+BMP) mode does not support synchronous Ethernet transparent transmission.
IEEE 1588v2 Supported when the client-side service type is 100GE (MAC transparent mapping ODU4). Supported when the client-side service type is 10GE LAN (MAC transparent mapping (10.7G)).
ITU-T G.8275.1 Supported
ITU-T G.8273.2 Supported
Outband DCN Supports ESC communication.
Test frame Supported when the client-side service type is 100GE/40GE/10GE LAN(MAC transparent mapping(10.7G)).
NOTE:
For Ethernet test frames, only one interface can be used to send them at a time.
PRBS
  • Supports the PRBS function on the WDM side.
  • The PRBS function in the client-side optical port direction is supported only when the service type is OTU4.
  • PRBS signals can be sent from the client-side optical port to the system side.
NOTE:
The client-side PRBS function is not supported when the board accesses 4 x 10GE signals.
Latency measurement
  • Supports PM and TCM latency measurement for upstream higher-order ODU channels.
  • Supports PM and TCM latency measurement for upstream lower-order ODU channels when non-OTN services are received on the client side.
  • Supports TCM latency measurement for downstream lower-order ODU channels when OTN services are received on the client side.
NOTE:
In a mapping path, the maximum granularity ODUk channel is the higher-order ODU channel, and other ODUk channels are lower-order ODUk channels.
Channel loopback
  • 200G line: ODU2, ODU3, ODU4 and ODUflex channel inloop and outloop
  • 400G line: ODU2, ODU3, ODU4 and ODUflex channel inloop and outloop
NOTE:
The board does not support the channel loopback and ODUk loopback at the same time. When a client-side port accesses 4 x 10GE signals, only channel loopback is supported. When cross-connections are set up between the client-side port and the line side of the board only, channel loopback is not supported.
Port loopback
  • Supports inloops and outloops on the WDM side.
  • Supports inloops and outloops on the client side.
  • Supports ODUk inloops and ODUk outloops on the client side.
NOTE:
  • Client-side loopback is not supported when the port accesses 4 x 10GE LAN signals.
  • When cross-connections are created between the port and the line side of this board and between the port and the line side of other boards, the port does not support the SNCP protection and port inloop loopback at the same time.
  • When the functions as an OTU board, if the client-side service rate of the same service is the same as the WDM-side service rate, the WDM-side optical interface loopback is not supported.
Alarm and performance event monitoring
  • Monitors BIP8 bytes (Bursty mode) to help locate line failures.
  • Monitors OTN alarms and performance events.
  • Monitors parameters such as the bias current, temperature, and optical power of the laser.
  • Supports the remote monitoring (RMON) of Ethernet services.
  • Supports the monitoring of CD and PMD performance.
