Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 TNG2RPC Super C-band forward Raman Processing board

Description

TNG2RPC overview

TNG2RPC Enhanced Backward Remote Optical Pump Processing Boardapplied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 M05/M12/M24.

The new generation of “M” series subracks have the characteristics of ultra-large capacity, optoelectronic integration, and compact size. They are suitable for comprehensive carrying application scenarios such as broadband video, mobile backhaul, government and enterprise dedicated lines, and DCI interconnection, providing end-to-end optimal transmission solutions from backbone, aggregation to access. The M24 subrack supports two cross-connection modes, 1:1 and 1:3, which differ in the number of cross-connection board configurations, the number of available service board slots, cross-connection capacity, and application scenarios.

The TNG2RPC board has only one variant: TNG2RPC03.

Item TNG2RPC
Basic function
  • Supports forward Raman pump control.
  • Integrates with a forward Raman optical amplifier unit to amplify super C-band input optical signals, covering wavelengths within the range of 1524.3nm to 1572.5 nm.
  • Generates multi-channel pump light of high power, providing energy for the amplification of signals in the fiber.
  • Implements distributed online amplification of signals over long distance with wide bandwidth and low noise.
  • Supports the interlock switch. The interlock switch of a LINE port on the panel controls the power-on and power-off of the board and prevents eyes from being injured by laser when an optical fiber is inserted into or removed from the LINE port.
WDM specification Supports the DWDM specifications.
Working mode Supports the pump power locking mode.
Safe turn-on of the Raman laser Supported
NOTE:
In addition, the functions of safe turn-on of the Raman laser and cannot be used. You need to disable the functions on the NMS.
Online optical performance monitoring Provides an in-service monitoring port (MON). This port connects to an optical spectrum analyzer or spectrum analyzer unit to monitor the spectrum and optical performance of the multiplexed signal without affecting traffic.
Line fiber quality monitoring The line fiber quality monitoring function can be used on the NMS. Monitoring figures and data are displayed on the NMS. The Fiber Doctor Management System Software Fee License needs to be purchased for this function.
NOTE:
When the TNG2RPC board is connected to the TNG2ERPC, TNG2ROP, the FCD function cannot be used. In this case, you can ignore the detection results of the functions. The TNG2RPC board at the two ends use G.652 fibers and G.654 fibers respectively. For example, the TNG2RPC boards on NE 1 use G.652 fibers to connect to the TNG2RPC boards on NE 2 use G.654 fibers, you can ignore the detection results of the functions. In addition, the functions of safe turn-on of the Raman laser and cannot be used. You need to disable the functions on the NMS.
Optical Doctor Not Supported
Optical-layer ASON Not supported
Alarm and performance event monitoring
  • Detects the optical power of pump lasers, pump temperature, temperature control current, pump current, and back facet current.
  • Supports detection of the multiplexed-wavelength input optical power at the SYS port.
  • Supports detection of the single-wavelength output optical power and laser bias current of the OTDR module.
  • Supports return loss detection. This function is disabled by default.
  • Supports board temperature detection and reporting.
Dimensions (H x W x D)
  • 237.10 × 61.00 × 220.00 (mm)
  • 9.34 × 2.40 × 8.67 (in.)
Weight
  • 2.60 kg
  • 5.73 lb.
