Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 TNG6WDAPXF Pluggable C-Band And L-Band OA Boards With C-band And L-band XFIU Boards

Description

TNG6WDAPXF overview

TNG6WDAPXF Enhanced Backward Remote Optical Pump Processing Boardapplied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 M05/M12/M24.

The new generation of “M” series subracks have the characteristics of ultra-large capacity, optoelectronic integration, and compact size. They are suitable for comprehensive carrying application scenarios such as broadband video, mobile backhaul, government and enterprise dedicated lines, and DCI interconnection, providing end-to-end optimal transmission solutions from backbone, aggregation to access. The M24 subrack supports two cross-connection modes, 1:1 and 1:3, which differ in the number of cross-connection board configurations, the number of available service board slots, cross-connection capacity, and application scenarios.

The TNG6WDAPXF board has only one variant: TNG6WDAPXF.

Item TNG6WDAPXF
Basic function
  • Amplifies the power of the received optical signals in the Super C-band. This board supports wavelengths within the range of 1524.3 nm to 1572.5 nm.
  • Amplifies the power of the received optical signals in the Super L-band. This board supports wavelengths within the range of 1575.16 nm to 1626.45 nm.
  • Supports service transmission with varying fiber spans without using electrical regeneration.
WDM specification Supports the DWDM specifications.
Pluggable amplifier optical module Supports C120 wavelengths optical amplifier modules:
  • TNG2OACU23U/TNG2OACU27U/TNG2OACU34U
Supports L120 wavelengths optical amplifier modules:
  • TNG2OALU20S/TNG2OALU24S/TNG2OALU31S
Working mode Supports the gain locking, power locking and APC modes.
  • In the gain locking mode, the gain of the board is tunable and the user can query the actual gain of the board. The gain locking mode is enabled by default.
  • The power locking mode is used to lock the output power of the board in scenarios in which only dummy lights are present.
  • Automatic Power Control (APC) is one type of power locking modes. Compared with traditional power locking, APC gradually increases optical power and has no light output if no light input is present.
Gain adjustment
  • TNG2OACU23U: Continually adjusts the gain from 18 dB to 23 dB based on the input signal power.
  • TNG2OACU27U: Continually adjusts the gain from 21 dB to 27 dB based on the input signal power.
  • TNG2OACU34U: Continually adjusts the gain from 25 dB to 34 dB based on the input signal power.
  • TNG2OALU20S: Continually adjusts the gain from 15 dB to 20 dB based on the input signal power.
  • TNG2OALU24S: Continually adjusts the gain from 18 dB to 24 dB based on the input signal power.
  • TNG2OALU31S: Continually adjusts the gain from 22 dB to 31 dB based on the input signal power.
Transient control The EDFA inside the board has the transient state control function. When channels are added or dropped, the board can suppress the power fluctuation inside the signal channels to support smooth upgrades and expansions.
Online optical performance monitoring Provides an online monitoring optical port (MON). Through this optical port, a small number of optical signals can be output to an optical spectrum analyzer or an optical spectrum analyzer board. In this manner, the spectrum and optical performance of the multiplexed optical signals can be monitored without interrupting services.
Optical Doctor Supported
Optical-layer ASON
  • C+L Ready supports optical-layer ASON, and C+L band does not support optical-layer ASON.
  • Before the evolution from C+L Ready to C+L band, you must disable ASON.
NOTE:
C+L Ready networking scenario is as follows:
  • Only the Super C band optical layer is deployed, and C+L-band WXFIU, C+L-band WSS, and C+L-band EDFA (only C-OA modules installed) boards are configured.
  • The L-band optical layer is not deployed, and no DL, L-OA, or L-OPM module is configured.
Alarm and performance event monitoring
  • Detects and reports optical power levels.
  • Monitors the temperature of the pump laser.
  • Detects the drive current, pump cooling current, and temperature of the pump laser and the ambient temperature of the board.

Functions and Features of the TNG6WDAPXF Board (FIU)

Basic function
  • Multiplexes the OSC signal and main channel signal into the line path and performs the reverse process.
  • In single-fiber bidirectional (dual-OSC configuration) OSC scenario, neither commissioning nor delay compensation is required for IEEE 1588V2 clocks.
Dimensions (H x W x D)
  • 237.10 × 61.00 × 220.00 (mm)
  • 9.34 × 2.40 × 8.67 (in.)
Weight
  • 2.90 kg
  • 6.39 lb.
