Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 TNG6WTMD40 40-Ports Flexible and Tunable Wavelength Multiplexing and Demultiplexing Board (Super C+L Band, DL)

Description

TNG6WTMD40 overview

TNG6WTMD40 40-Ports Flexible and Tunable Wavelength Multiplexing and Demultiplexing Board (Super C+L Band, DL) applied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 M24/M12/M05.

To meet ultra-large cross-connect capacity and bandwidth requirements, Huawei presents the OptiX OSN 9800 product series. The OptiX OSN 9800 product series include the OptiX OSN 9800 U64, U32, P18 and universal platform subracks. Applied at the electrical layer, the OptiX OSN 9800 U64 and U32 subracks share boards by using unified software and hardware platforms, and can work with the OptiX OSN 9800 universal platform subrack and P18 subrack, OptiX OSN 8800 platform subrack and T16 subrack, and OptiX OSN 6800 optical subracks in WDM and OTN systems.

The TNG6WTMD40 board has only one variant: TNG6WTMD4001.

Item TNG6WTMD40
Basic function
  • Implements optical-layer service grooming for multiple wavelengths, and support contentionless.
  • Wavelength adding: Adds any wavelengths from any directions through ports AM1 to AM40 and outputs the wavelengths through the OUT port.
  • Wavelength dropping: Receives optical signals from the main path through the IN port, drops wavelengths to any directions, and outputs them through ports DM1 to DM40.
Dummy light filling Supports C120 and L120 dummy light filling.
WDM specification Supports the DWDM specifications.
Spectrum application
  • Supports Super C+L-band wavelengths.
  • Supports flexible grid wavelength signals. The channel spacing is n x slice. (The minimum slice is 6.25 GHz. The value of n ranges from 6 to 64. That is, a single channel is adjustable within the range of 37.5 GHz to 400 GHz.)
Online optical performance monitoring Provides an online monitoring optical port (MON). Through this optical port, a small number of optical signals can be output to an optical spectrum analyzer or an optical spectrum analyzer board. In this manner, the spectrum and optical performance of the multiplexed optical signals can be monitored without interrupting services.
NOTE:
The online optical performance monitoring function can be used only for temporary optical performance monitoring when the MONI/MONO power meets the power detection range of the detection instrument or spectrum analysis board. For details about long-term monitoring, see the application scenarios of spectrum analysis boards.
Optical-layer ASON
  • C+L Ready supports optical-layer ASON, and C+L band does not support optical-layer ASON.
  • Before the evolution from C+L Ready to C+L band, you must disable ASON.
NOTE:
C+L Ready networking scenario is as follows:
  • Only the Super C band optical layer is deployed, and C+L-band WXFIU, C+L-band WSS, and C+L-band EDFA (only C-OA modules installed) boards are configured.
  • The L-band optical layer is not deployed, and no DL, L-OA, or L-OPM module is configured.
Digital optical label The board can work with the OTU board that supports the digital optical label function: The OUTL, INL, OUTC, and INC port supports digital optical label overheads. After the Optical Doctor management system license and the OD function are configured, these ports provides route visualization and trail verification functions.
Optical power adjustment Supports power adjustment for each wavelength.
Loopback Supports optical-layer loopbacks.
Alarm and performance event monitoring Detects the optical power and reports the alarms and performance events for the board.
Dimensions (H x W x D)
  • 237.10 × 61.00 × 220.00 (mm)
  • 9.34 × 2.40 × 8.67 (in.)
Weight
  • 3.05 kg
  • 6.72 lb.
