Description

TNS3NP800S overview

 

TNS3NP800S 10 Gbit/s tributary service processing board applied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 U64/U32/M24.

To meet ultra-large cross-connect capacity and bandwidth requirements, Huawei presents the OptiX OSN 9800 product series. The OptiX OSN 9800 product series include the OptiX OSN 9800 U64, U32, P18 and universal platform subracks. Applied at the electrical layer, the OptiX OSN 9800 U64 and U32 subracks share boards by using unified software and hardware platforms, and can work with the OptiX OSN 9800 universal platform subrack and P18 subrack, OptiX OSN 8800 platform subrack and T16 subrack, and OptiX OSN 6800 optical subracks in WDM and OTN systems.

The available functional version of the NP800S/NP800SE board is TNS3.

Basic function NP800S/NP800SE:
  • 320 x ODU0/320 x ODUflex/160 x ODU1/40 x ODU2/40 x ODU2e/8 x ODU3/4 x ODU4<->OTUC4
  • Supports hybrid transmission of ODU0, ODU1, ODU2, ODU2e, ODUflex, ODU3 and ODU4 signals.
NP800S:
  • Multiplexes and demultiplexes two optical signals. That is, it can receive one OTUC4 optical signal from the NP800SE board. In addition, it integrates one channel of OTUC4 optical signals output by itself and one channel of OTUC4 optical signals output by the NP800SE board into one channel of multiplexed optical signals.
NOTE:
  • The board supports single-fiber bidirectional transmission.
  • The maximum SDH capacity of the board is 80 Gbit/s.
Cross-connect capabilities Supports the cross-connection of 320 x ODU0/ODUflex signals or 160 x ODU1 signals or 40 x ODU2/ODU2e signals or 8 x ODU3 signals or 4 x ODU4 signals between the NP800S/NP800SE and the cross-connect board.
OTN function
  • Supports the OTN frame format and overhead processing defined by ITU-T G.709.
  • OTUC4 layer: Supports SM overhead processing.
  • ODUC4 layer: Supports PM and TCM overhead processing.
  • ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, 2e, 3, 4, flex) layer: Supports PM and TCM overhead processing, and non-intrusive monitoring of PM and TCM overheads.

Alarms and performance events monitoring
  • Monitors BIP8 bytes (Bursty mode) to help locate line failures.
  • Monitors the laser bias current, laser operating temperature, and single-wavelength optical power.
  • Monitors OTN alarms and performance events.
Latency measurement The board supports latency measurement in the WDM-side optical port direction (upstream direction).
  • When higher-order ODU4 cross-connections are created on the line board, TCM latency measurement is supported for higher-order ODU4 channels. When lower-order ODUk cross-connections are created on the line board, PM/TCM latency measurement is supported for higher-order ODU4 channels, and TCM latency measurement is supported for lower-order ODUk channels.
  • The board supports PM and TCM latency measurement at the ODUCn layer.
    NOTE:
    When VPs are configured, the board supports measuring the PM/TCM latency of higher-order and lower-order ODUk channels.
