Description

TNU5NP200E overview

TNU5NP200E 1 x 100G turbo WDM Universal Line Service Processing Extended Board applied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 U64/U32/M24.

To meet ultra-large cross-connect capacity and bandwidth requirements, Huawei presents the OptiX OSN 9800 product series. The OptiX OSN 9800 product series include the OptiX OSN 9800 U64, U32, P18 and universal platform subracks. Applied at the electrical layer, the OptiX OSN 9800 U64 and U32 subracks share boards by using unified software and hardware platforms, and can work with the OptiX OSN 9800 universal platform subrack and P18 subrack, OptiX OSN 8800 platform subrack and T16 subrack, and OptiX OSN 6800 optical subracks in WDM and OTN systems.

OTN functions and features of the board
Basic function NP200/NP200E:
  • 80 x ODU0/80 x ODUflex/40 x ODU1/10 x ODU2/10 x ODU2e/2 x ODU3/1 x ODU4<->1 x OTU4
  • Supports hybrid transmission of ODU0, ODU1, ODUflex, ODU2, ODU2e, and ODU3 signals.
NP200:
  • Multiplexes and demultiplexes two optical signals. That is, the NP200 board receives one OTU4 optical signal from the NP200E board and converts its own OTU4 optical signal and the received OTU4 optical signal into one multiplexed optical signal.
Cross-connect capabilities Supports the cross-connection of 80 x ODU0/ODUflex signals or 40 x ODU1 signals or 10 x ODU2/ODU2e signals or 2 x ODU3 signals or 1 x ODU4 signal between the NP200/NP200E and the cross-connect board.
OTN function
  • Supports the OTN frame format and overhead processing as defined in ITU-T G.709.
  • OTU4 layer: Supports SM overhead processing.
  • ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, 2e, 3, 4, flex) layer: Supports PM and TCM overhead processing, and non-intrusive monitoring of PM and TCM overheads.
WDM specification Supports DWDM specifications.
ESC function Supported
PRBS test function Supported on the WDM side.
FEC coding SDFEC2
Alarm and performance event monitoring
  • Monitors BIP8 bytes (Bursty mode) to help locate line failures.
  • Monitors the laser bias current, laser operating temperature, and single-wavelength optical power.
  • Monitors OTN alarms and performance events.
IEEE 1588v2 Supports the BC and OC modes.
Physical-layer clock Supported
ITU-T G.8273.2 Supported

The board does not support ITU-T G.8273.2 when the system control board is U2CTU.
ITU-T G.8275.1 Supported
Optical-layer ASON Not supported
Electrical-layer ASON Supported
NOTE:
When both NP200 and NP200E boards are configured on a network, the ODUk TE links of electrical-layer ASON must be configured to the same shared risk link group (SRLG).
Protection scheme
  • Supports ODUk SNCP.

Delay measurement The TNU5NP200/TNU5NP200E board supports delay measurement in the WDM-side optical port direction (upstream direction). When higher-order ODUk cross-connections are created on the line board, TCM delay measurement is supported for higher-order ODUk channels. When lower-order ODUk cross-connections are created on the line board, PM/TCM delay measurement is supported for higher-order ODUk channels, and TCM delay measurement is supported for lower-order ODUk channels. When VPs are configured and lower-order ODUk cross-connections are created, the TNU5NP200/TNU5NP200E board supports measuring the PM/TCM latency of higher-order and lower-order ODUk channels.
