TNU5NP400 1 x 200G Turbo WDM Line Service Processing Extended Board applied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 U64/U32/M24.

To meet ultra-large cross-connect capacity and bandwidth requirements, Huawei presents the OptiX OSN 9800 product series. The OptiX OSN 9800 product series include the OptiX OSN 9800 U64, U32, P18 and universal platform subracks. Applied at the electrical layer, the OptiX OSN 9800 U64 and U32 subracks share boards by using unified software and hardware platforms, and can work with the OptiX OSN 9800 universal platform subrack and P18 subrack, OptiX OSN 8800 platform subrack and T16 subrack, and OptiX OSN 6800 optical subracks in WDM and OTN systems.

 OTN functions and features of the NP400/NP400E board
Basic function   NP400/NP400E:
  • 160 x ODU0/160 x ODUflex/80 x ODU1/20 x ODU2/20 x ODU2e/4 x ODU3/2 x ODU4 <-> 1 x OTUC2
  • Supports hybrid transmission of ODU0, ODU1, ODUflex, ODU2, ODU2e, ODU3, and ODU4 signals.
NP400:
  • Multiplexes and demultiplexes two optical signals. That is, the NP400 board receives one OTUC2 optical signal from the NP400E board and converts its own OTUC2 optical signal and the OTUC2 optical signal received from the NP400E board into one multiplexed optical signal.
Cross-connect capabilities   Supports the cross-connection of 160 x ODU0/ODUflex signals or 80 x ODU1 signals or 20 x ODU2/ODU2e signals or 4 x ODU3 signals or 2 x ODU4 signals between the NP400/NP400E and the cross-connect board.
OTN function  
Port in 100G mode:
  • Supports the OTU4 interface on the WDM side.
  • Supports the OTN frame format and overhead processing defined by ITU-T G.709.
  • OTU4 layer: supports SM overhead processing.
  • ODUk (k=0, 1, 2, 2e, 3, 4, flex) layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing, and non-intrusive monitoring of PM and TCM overheads.
Port in 200G mode:
  • Supports OTUC2 interfaces on the WDM side.
  • OTUC2 layer: Supports SM overhead processing.
  • ODUC2 layer: Supports PM and TCM overhead processing.

Delay measurement   The TNU5NP400/TNU5NP400E board supports delay measurement in the WDM-side optical port direction (upstream direction). When higher-order ODU4 cross-connections are created on the line board, TCM delay measurement is supported for higher-order ODU4 channels. When lower-order ODUk cross-connections are created on the line board, PM/TCM delay measurement is supported for higher-order ODU4 channels, and TCM delay measurement is supported for lower-order ODUk channels. When VPs are configured and lower-order ODUk cross-connections are created, the TNU5NP400/TNU5NP400E board supports measuring the PM/TCM latency of higher-order and lower-order ODUk channels.

    • A maximum of 40 Gbit/s SDH services are supported.

    When being installed in a U series subrack or in an M24 subrack in 1:3 mode:
    • A maximum of 80 Gbit/s SDH services are supported.
    • 8 x STM-64<->1 x OTUC2, 32 x STM-16<->1 x OTUC2.
