TNG1M804SMT71 Overview

TNG1M804SMT71 2 x 400Gbit/s or 8 x 100Gbit/s Service Multiplexing Into 1 x 400G-800G Programmable Wavelength Conversion Board, applied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 M05/M12/M24.

To meet ultra-large cross-connect capacity and bandwidth requirements, Huawei presents the OptiX OSN 9800 product series. The OptiX OSN 9800 product series include the OptiX OSN 9800 U64, U32, P18 and universal platform subracks. Applied at the electrical layer, the OptiX OSN 9800 U64 and U32 subracks share boards by using unified software and hardware platforms, and can work with the OptiX OSN 9800 universal platform subrack and P18 subrack, OptiX OSN 8800 platform subrack and T16 subrack, and OptiX OSN 6800 optical subracks in WDM and OTN systems.

The TNG1M804SMT71 board has two variants: TNG1M804SMT71, TNG1M804SMT75.

Functions and Features of the TNG1M804SMT71 Board (OTU)
Basic function The board can convert client-side services into OTU signals,the client-side service supports hybrid transmission of different services, for details about the service types, number of channels, and mapping paths supported by different ports, see Applications.
Client-side service type
  • OTU4: OTN service at a rate of 111.81 Gbit/s
  • 100GE: Ethernet service at a rate of 103.125 Gbit/s
  • 400GE: Ethernet service at a rate of 425 Gbit/s
  • 100G FlexE unaware: Flexible ethernet services at a rate of 103.125 Gbit/s
NOTE:
A FlexE Group can be bound to only one Ethernet PHY.
Service mapping mode
  • 100GE service: Supports Bit Transparent Mapping ODU4, MAC Transparent Mapping ODU4, MACB2B mapping.
  • 400GE service: Supports Bit Transparent Mapping(BMP), MACB2B mapping.
  • FlexE 100G unaware service: Supports Bit Transparent Mapping ODU4, Bit Transparent Mapping(BMP) mapping.
WDM specification Supports the DWDM specifications.
Tunable wavelength TNG1M804SM supports tunable wavelengths of WDM-side optical signals in Super C band (1524 nm to 1573 nm).
FEC coding
  • Client side: Supports FEC coding when the client-side service type is OTU4.
  • Client side: Supports RSFEC coding when the client-side service type are ethernet services, FlexE services.
  • WDM side: Supports SDFEC3 coding.
Line modulation format

NOTE:

OTN overhead
  • ODUflex/ODUCn (n = 4, 6, 8) layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing.
  • ODU4 layer:
    • Supports PM and TCM overhead processing when 100GE services are received on the client side.
    • Supports PM and TCM overhead processing when OTU4 services are received on the client side. This board supports non-intrusive monitoring of PM and TCM overheads.

  • Supports TCM latency measurement for downstream lower-order ODU channels when OTN services are received on the client side.
NOTE:
  • In a mapping path, the maximum granularity ODUk channel is the higher-order ODU channel, and other ODUk channels are lower-order ODUk channels.
  • When the cross-connect granularity is TDUflex, the PM/TCM latency measurement of the lower-order ODU channel is not supported.

Only ports that use dual-CS optical modules to access services support channel loopback.

  • Supports inloops and outloops on the WDM side.
