Function and Feature Description
Basic function The CE-L48XS-FD1 provides data packet processing and traffic management on 48 10GE/25GE optical ports.
Maximum port density If all LPUs are CE-L48XS-FD1 cards:

  • The CE12804/CE12804S chassis provides a maximum of 192 10GE/25GE optical ports.
  • The CE12808/CE12808S chassis provides a maximum of 384 10GE/25GE optical ports.
  • The CE12812 chassis provides a maximum of 576 10GE/25GE optical ports.
  • The CE12816 chassis provides a maximum of 768 10GE/25GE optical ports.
High 10GE/GE port density (48x10GE/GE)
  • When the 10GE ports work in 10GE mode, they support SFP+ 10GE optical modules, and can work with 10GE Twinax high-speed cables or AOC cables.
  • Optical ports on a CE-L48XS-FD1 card work at the rate of 10 Gbit/s by default. You can run the port mode 25ge command to configure the ports to work at the rate of 25 Gbit/s. The ports support SFP28 optical modules, SFP28 high-speed cables, and AOC cables.
  • In versions earlier than V200R005C00, 10GE optical ports on the CE-L48XS-FD1 card cannot work at the rate of 1 Gbit/s. In V200R005C00 and later versions, 10GE optical ports on the card support GE optical and copper modules. When a GE copper module is installed on a 10GE optical port, the port supports only the rate of 1000 Mbit/s. When a GE optical module is installed on a 10GE optical port, the port works in non-auto-negotiation mode by default and does not support the auto-negotiation configuration.
