Description

TMP2MON32 Overview

TMP2MON32 OXC optical backplane insertion loss detection and tunable-bandwidth optical power detection board (Super C band).

To meet ultra-large cross-connect capacity and bandwidth requirements, Huawei presents the OptiX OSN 9800 product series. The OptiX OSN 9800 product series include the OptiX OSN 9800 U64, U32, P18 and universal platform subracks. Applied at the electrical layer, the OptiX OSN 9800 U64 and U32 subracks share boards by using unified software and hardware platforms, and can work with the OptiX OSN 9800 universal platform subrack and P18 subrack, OptiX OSN 8800 platform subrack and T16 subrack, and OptiX OSN 6800 optical subracks in WDM and OTN systems.

The TMP2MON32 board has only one variant:TMP2MON3201, TMP2MON3203.

Basic function
  • Detects the insertion loss between 32 service boards or OXC filler panels in a subrack and the optical backplane. When the difference between the detected insertion loss of a trail and the calibrated insertion loss exceeds the specified threshold, the system automatically reports events and alarms to indicate the fault point.
Spectrum application Supports super C-band wavelengths.

Detection functions
  • Supports detecting the single-wavelength optical power and standard wavelengths of optical signals in the transmit and receive directions of a subrack.
  • Supports detecting and reporting the optical power of the super C-band, fixed-grid wavelength, and flexible-grid wavelength signals.
  • The MON32 board can interoperate with the Optical Doctor management system license. When the Optical Doctor management system license is used, the MON32 board supports OSNR monitoring for 10 Gbit/s, 40 Gbit/s, 100 Gbit/s, 200 Gbit/s, 400 Gbit/s, 600 Gbit/s, and 800 Gbit/s signals. The MON32 supports OSNR detection for fixed grid and flexible grid wavelengths.
