Description

TNG2M504S Overview

TNG2M504S 2 x 100Gbit/s Service Multiplexing Into 1 x 200G Wavelength Conversion Board, applied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 M05/M12/M24.

To meet ultra-large cross-connect capacity and bandwidth requirements, Huawei presents the OptiX OSN 9800 product series. The OptiX OSN 9800 product series include the OptiX OSN 9800 U64, U32, P18 and universal platform subracks. Applied at the electrical layer, the OptiX OSN 9800 U64 and U32 subracks share boards by using unified software and hardware platforms, and can work with the OptiX OSN 9800 universal platform subrack and P18 subrack, OptiX OSN 8800 platform subrack and T16 subrack, and OptiX OSN 6800 optical subracks in WDM and OTN systems.

The TNG2M504S board has only one variant: TNG2M504ST33.

Client-side service type
  • OTU4: OTN service at a rate of 111.81 Gbit/s
  • 100GE: Ethernet service at a rate of 103.125 Gbit/s
  • 40GE: Ethernet service at a rate of 41.25 Gbit/s
  • 10GE LAN: Ethernet service at a rate of 10.31 Gbit/s
Service mapping mode
  • ODU4: Bit Transparent Mapping ODU4, MAC Transparent Mapping ODU4.
  • ODU3: TTT+GMP.
  • ODU2(e): Bit Transparent Mapping(11.1G IMP+BMP), MAC Transparent Mapping(10.7G).
  • ODUflex: MAC Transparent Mapping(GFP-F).
WDM specification Supports the DWDM specifications.
Tunable wavelength Supports tunable wavelengths of WDM-side optical signals in Super C band (1524 nm to 1573 nm).
FEC coding
  • Client side: Supports FEC coding when the client-side service type is OTU4.
  • Client side: Supports RSFEC coding when the client-side service type is 100GE.
  • WDM side: Supports SDFEC2 coding.
Line modulation format 200G QPSK, 200G QPSK wDCM
Typical channel spacing
  • 200G QPSK wDCM: 100GHz+n*6.25GHz(n=0,1,2...)
  • 200G QPSK: 75GHz+n*6.25GHz(n=0,1,2...)
OTN overhead
  • ODU2/ODU3/ODUC2 layer: supports PM and TCM overhead processing.
  • ODUflex layer: supports TCM overhead processing.
  • ODU4 layer:
    • Supports PM and TCM overhead processing when 100GE services are received on the client side.
    • Supports PM and TCM overhead processing when OTU4 services are received on the client side. This board supports non-intrusive monitoring of PM and TCM overheads.
  • Supports SM overhead processing at the OTU4 layer on the client side.
  • OTUC2 layer: supports SM overhead processing on the WDM side.
LPT Supports the LPT function when the client-side service is 10GE LAN.
Intra-board 1+1 protection Supported
NOTE:
Supports intra-board 1+1 protection when working with optical protection boards.
Client 1+1 protection Supported
NOTE:
  • When an MPO optical module is used on the client side, the M504S board does not support client 1+1 protection.
  • When 100GE/40GE services are received on the client side, client 1+1 protection supports bidirectional switching rather than unidirectional switching. When OTU4 services are received on the client side, client 1+1 protection supports unidirectional switching.
ODUk SNCP Not Supported
Tributary SNCP Not Supported
Optical-layer ASON Supported
L1 service encryption When the client-side service type is 10GE/40GE/100GE, the board supports the bidirectional service encryption.
Digital optical label When LS Ability is enabled, the board supports loading low-frequency pilot-tone modulation signals and overheads during wavelength conversion, and can work the optical-layer board that supports the digital optical label function to detect optical power and overheads and report optical performance data.
ALS Supports the ALS function on the client side when client services are non-OTN services.
LLDP When the client-side service type is 10GE LAN/40GE/100GE, the board supports the LLDP function.
NOTE:
When the service mapping mode is MAC transparent mapping, the LLDP mode of the port is the Receive mode by default. In this case, LLDP packets are not transparently transmitted.
Physical clock
  • Supports synchronous Ethernet processing instead of synchronous Ethernet transparent transmission when receiving 100GE(Bit Transparent Mapping)/40GE(TTT+GMP) services on the client side.
