Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 TNU4CTU  System Control and Communication Board With Clock Processing Function

Description

TNU4CTU overview

TNU4CTU System Control and Communication Board With Clock Processing Function, extended to 800G applied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 U64/U32.

To meet ultra-large cross-connect capacity and bandwidth requirements, Huawei presents the OptiX OSN 9800 product series. The OptiX OSN 9800 product series include the OptiX OSN 9800 U64, U32, P18 and universal platform subracks. Applied at the electrical layer, the OptiX OSN 9800 U64 and U32 subracks share boards by using unified software and hardware platforms, and can work with the OptiX OSN 9800 universal platform subrack and P18 subrack, OptiX OSN 8800 platform subrack and T16 subrack, and OptiX OSN 6800 optical subracks in WDM and OTN systems.

Item TNU4CTU
Basic function
  • Grooms services, manages configurations, and reports alarms in a subrack.
  • Backs up NE Data. When the data of an NE changes, the system control and communication unit immediately saves changed data to a storage medium to ensure that the NE data still exists after the NE undergoes a cold reset or power failure. This feature improves NE reliability.
  • Implements communication between NEs through IP over DCC.
OTN cluster
  • Back-to-back cluster: When the board works with a TNU3UCXCS board in a U64/U32 Enhanced subrack, the back-to-back cluster is supported.
  • 2+N cluster: not supported
Electrical-layer ASON Supported
Master-Slave subrack Supports subrack cascading.
DCC NEs can be interconnected through the DCC.
Backup mode Supports 1+1 hot backup. When the active board is faulty, services are automatically switched to the standby board.
NOTE:
After active/standby switching is completed, NE data must be manually uploaded.

Functions and Features of the TNU4CTU Board (Clock Unit)

Basic function The board provides system clock signals and frame header signals for each service board.
Physical clock Supported
IEEE 1588v2 Supported
ITU-T G.8275.1 Supported
ITU-T G.8273.2
  • When the board is used as the system control board in a back-to-back cluster, ITU-T G.8273.2 is supported.
  • Non-cluster: supported
High-precision clock synchronization
  • When the board is used as the system control board in a back-to-back cluster, the master subrack of the cluster supports high-precision clocks, but slave subracks do not support high-precision clocks.
  • Non-cluster: supported
NOTE:
The high-precision clock synchronization function can be implemented only after the corresponding license is obtained.
External clock port Supported
External time port Supported
Backup mode Supports 1+1 hot backup.
Dimensions (H x W x D)
  • 477.30 × 30.50 × 220.00 (mm)
  • 18.81 × 1.20 × 8.67 (in.)
Weight
  • 2.60 kg
  • 5.73 lb.
