Basic function Provides data packet processing and traffic management on 36 40GE optical ports, which can be split into 144 10GE optical ports.
Maximum port density If all LPUs are CE-L36LQ-FD cards:
The CE12804/CE12804S chassis provides a maximum of 144 40GE ports. The chassis also provides a maximum of 72 100GE ports.
The CE12808/CE12808S chassis provides a maximum of 288 40GE ports. The chassis also provides a maximum of 144 100GE ports.
The CE12812 chassis provides a maximum of 432 40GE ports. The chassis also provides a maximum of 216 100GE ports.
The CE12816 chassis provides a maximum of 576 40GE ports. The chassis also provides a maximum of 288 100GE ports.
40GE ports On the CE-L36LQ-FD, each 40GE port can be split into four 10GE ports. That is, the CE-L36LQ-FD cards can provide a maximum port density of 144x10GE.
On a CE-L36LQ-FD card, 18 40GE ports can be used as 100GE ports, and each of them can be split into four 25GE ports. Their IDs are: 0, 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16, 17, 20, 21, 24, 25, 28, 29, 32, 33. These port IDs are represented by (0, 1, 4, 5…) in the following descriptions.
Limitations and Descriptions When 18 ports on the CE-L36LQ-FD card are configured to work at 100 Gbit/s, the other 18 ports are configured to work at 40 Gbit/s, and all these 36 ports work at the same time, data cannot be forwarded at the line rate.
Ports on the CE-L36LQ-FD card are divided into three groups. Ports 0 to 11 belong to one group, ports 12 to 23 belong to one group, and ports 24 to 35 belong to one group.
When the total port bandwidth of each group does not exceed 480 Gbit/s, SFUs can forward data at the line rate in the 4+1 backup mode.
When the total port bandwidth of each group does not exceed 600 Gbit/s, SFUs can forward data at the line rate in the 5+1 backup mode.
When the total port bandwidth of each group does not exceed 720 Gbit/s, SFUs can forward data at the line rate in the 6+0 backup mode.
