Huawei EA5801-GP08 integrated OLT with 8*GPON Ports, 2*10GE/GE Uplink Ports, 2*AC Power Module

Description

SmartAX EA5801 is a compact and low-density OLT in the form of a box. Provides GPON or XG-PON access and GPON combo, and supports passive optical LAN (POL) and fiber to the home (FTTH) solutions. It carries all services over a fiber network, which simplifies the network architecture and reduces OPEX.

The EA5801 unit supports two types of chassis: EA5801-GP08 and EA5801-CG04. It can be installed in indoor or outdoor cabinets. Outdoors can be installed in high-temperature environments, protecting personnel and saving closet space. The EA5801 is a box-shaped OLT that requires 1U installation space and is applicable to access point convergence on a small scale.

It is suitable for lightweight deployment in enterprises. One OLT can meet the service-carrying requirements for an enterprise or campus. The EA5801-CG04 supports the PON combo technology and can work with the built-in WDM1r optical module to support smooth evolution from GPON to XG-PON.

The EA5801 can be installed in indoor or outdoor cabinets. When installed outdoors, it can be easily deployed in high temperatures, protecting personnel and conserving cabinet space.

What service boards are supported for MA5800 series OLT?

GPON Board: GPHF/GPUF/GPLF/GPSF
XGPON Board: XGHD
GPON&XGPON combo Board: CGHF
XGS-PON Board: XSHF/XSHD
XGS-PON&GPON combo Board: CSHF
Flex-PON Board: FLHF

What L2VPN and L3VPN services are available?

Supports:
*VPLS
*VPWS
*QinQ VLAN tunneling
*MPLS-based L2VPN
*L3VPN for enterprise connections

I have MA5800 with CSHF card. If I use XG-PON and XGS-PON ONTs mixed on a port. How can they share the download/upload bandwith?

When XG-PON and XGS-PON ONTs are mixed on the same PON port of an MA5800 with a CSHF card, they share the same optical wavelength for downstream but use different upstream channels.
In the downstream direction, both XG-PON and XGS-PON ONTs receive data from the same 10 Gbps wavelength. So if the XG-PON ONTs are using 5 Gbps, the remaining 5 Gbps can still be used by the XGS-PON ONTs. The total downstream capacity is shared dynamically among all ONTs connected to that port, depending on traffic demand and DBA (Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation) scheduling.
In the upstream direction, it’s different:
XG-PON uses a 2.5 Gbps upstream channel.
XGS-PON uses a 10 Gbps upstream channel.

What is the main architectural advantage of the MA5800?

MA5800 adopts a distributed architecture, meaning each service board has independent forwarding capability. This ensures higher performance, enhances reliability, and supports large-scale 10G PON deployments compared with MA5600T’s centralized architecture.

What's the power module for MA5800 series OLT?

MA5800-X2: PISB-AC power module PISA: DC power module
MA5800-X7/X15/X17: PILA, -48V DC power module

Reviews

  1. Marcelo

EA5801-GP08 is not cost-effective, so it is better to buy MA5800-X2, which has higher specifications and lower price.

  2. Franklin

I prefer to buy MA5800-X2 to instead of EA5801-GP08, which is more cost-effective.

  3. Ainsworth

MA5800 X2 is better than EA5801-GP08. But this one can meet my needs. Fast delivery and nice sales.

  4. Simón

El precio es demasiado alto, prefiero MA5800-X con tarjeta H901GPUF.

  5. Brian

Shipping was safe and secure, with professional handling.
