Description

TNG1M608D Overview

TNG1M608D 8*100GE or 2*400GE Service Multiplexing Into 2*400G Programmable Wavelength Conversion Board, applied to Huawei OptiX OSN 9800 M05/M12/M24.

To meet ultra-large cross-connect capacity and bandwidth requirements, Huawei presents the OptiX OSN 9800 product series. The OptiX OSN 9800 product series include the OptiX OSN 9800 U64, U32, P18 and universal platform subracks. Applied at the electrical layer, the OptiX OSN 9800 U64 and U32 subracks share boards by using unified software and hardware platforms, and can work with the OptiX OSN 9800 universal platform subrack and P18 subrack, OptiX OSN 8800 platform subrack and T16 subrack, and OptiX OSN 6800 optical subracks in WDM and OTN systems.

The TNG1M608D board has only one variant: TNG1M608D.

Functions and Features of the TNG1M608D Board (OTU)
Basic function The board can convert client-side services into OTU signals, the client-side service supports hybrid transmission of different services, for details about the service types, number of channels, and mapping paths supported by different ports, see Applications.
Client-side service type
  • 100GE: Ethernet service at a rate of 103.125 Gbit/s
  • 400GE: Ethernet service at a rate of 425 Gbit/s
  • 100G FlexE unaware: Flexible ethernet services at a rate of 103.125 Gbit/s
Service mapping mode
  • 100GE service: Supports GMP/GFP-F/IMP mapping.
  • 400GE service: Supports BMP/IMP mapping.
WDM specification Supports the DWDM specifications.
Tunable wavelength Supports tunable wavelengths of WDM-side optical signals in Super C band (1524 nm to 1573 nm).
FEC coding
  • Client side: RSFEC
  • WDM side: SDFEC4
Line modulation format
  • 200G QPSK
  • 400G 16QAM
  • 400G s16QAM
  • 400G m16QAM
Typical channel spacing
  • 200G QPSK/400G 16QAM/400G m16QAM: 75GHz+n*6.25GHz(n=0,1,2…)
  • 400G s16QAM: 100GHz+n*6.25GHz(n=0,1,2....)
NOTE:
Due to high filtering penalty, 400G s16QAM cannot be used with 100G optical-layer boards with fixed channel spacing, such as TNG2D60 and TNG2M60.
OTN overhead protocol Supports the OTN frame format and overhead processing defined in ITU-T G.709.
LPT Not supported
Intra-board 1+1 protection Supported
NOTE:
Implemented with optical protection boards.
Client 1+1 protection Supported
NOTE:
When 400GE or FlexE service is accessed, the board does not support client 1+1 protection.
ODUk SNCP Not supported
Tributary SNCP Not supported
Optical-layer ASON Supported
L1 service encryption Supports setting the encryption function by port.
NOTE:
  • ClientLP port encryption is supported in the case of FlexE services.
  • After the encryption function is configured, the WDM-side rate of the board cannot be switched, but the modulation formats of the same rate can be switched.
Digital optical label The board enabled with LS can load low-frequency modulation signals and overheads during wavelength conversion. The board works with the optical-layer board that supports optical digital labels to detect optical power and overheads and report optical performance data.
ALS Supported
LLDP Supports the LLDP function when the client-side service is ethernet.
NOTE:
  • The LLDP function is not supported when the client-side service is FlexE.
  • When the service mapping mode is MAC transparent mapping, the LLDP mode of the port is the Receive mode by default. In this case, LLDP packets are not transparently transmitted.
Physical clock
  • On the tributary side:
    • Supports synchronous Ethernet transparent transmission instead of synchronous Ethernet processing when receiving 400GE (BMP)/100GE (GMP) services on the client side.
    • Supports synchronous Ethernet processing instead of synchronous Ethernet transparent transmission when receiving 400GE (IMP)/100GE (GFP-F/IMP)/100G FlexE unaware services on the client side.
  • On the line side: supported.
NOTE:
  • Line-side 200G mode: Parameter Frame Format of Clock Message can be set to GFP or HDLC.
  • Line-side 400G mode: Parameter Frame Format of Clock Message can be set to GFP.
IEEE 1588v2 Supported
NOTE:
Supported only when the client-side service type is 400GE(IMP)/100GE(GFP-F/IMP)/100G FlexE unaware.
ITU-T G.8275.1 Supported
NOTE:
Supported only when the client-side service type is 400GE(IMP)/100GE(GFP-F/IMP)/100G FlexE unaware.

High-precision clock synchronization Supported
NOTE:
  • The high-precision clock synchronization function can be implemented only after the corresponding license is obtained.
  • The board must work with the subrack and system control board that support high-precision clock to support the high-precision clock synchronization function. For details, see Clock Synchronization Feature Guide.
  • Supported only when the client-side service type is 400GE(IMP)/100GE(GFP-F/IMP).
Outband DCN Not supported
Test frame Supported
NOTE:
The test frame function is not supported when the client-side service is FlexE.

  • Supports the PRBS function on the WDM side.
  • PRBS signals can be sent from the client-side optical port to the system side.
Latency measurement
  • Client side: Supports PM and TCM latency measurement for upstream lower-order ODU channels.
  • WDM side: Supports the PM/TCM delay measurement of the upstream higher-order ODU channel.Supports upstream low-order TCM delay measurement.
NOTE:
In a mapping path, the maximum granularity ODUk channel is the higher-order ODU channel, and other ODUk channels are lower-order ODUk channels.
Channel loopback Not supported
Port loopback
  • Supports inloops and outloops on the WDM side.
  • Supports inloops and outloops on the client side.
